Frequently Asked Questions
What is the advantage of using Eco Waste Compacting services?
- Our customers see immediate savings on waste removal fees by creating less hauls performed by your waste collection provider.
- Your staff will no longer need to use a forklift or front loader, or double-handle trash, to create more space in the dumpster.
- We create space in your dumpsters to make sure that your staff and contractors always has usable space in your open top dumpsters.
How will I realize savings?
Reducing the number of more expensive hauls performed by your waste provider will assure savings in overall fees.
What are the upfront costs?
None. Charges are only incurred when compactions are performed.
What is the minimum number of compacts recommended per dumpster?
To see the maximum financial and eco-friendly effect, we recommend a minimum of two compacts in-between roll-offs.
Is this eco/environmentally friendly?
Yes. By requiring less hauls to the landfill, your carbon footprint is reduced. Our service takes less than 10 minutes per dumpster and then we drive a short distance to the next customer. Roll-off trucks spend an average of 30-60 minutes to come to your location to pick up a dumpster, and then another 30-90 minutes traveling to the landfill. Then they usually wait about an hour to be weighed. Eco Waste Compacting cuts the number of hauls needed to the landfill directly reducing your carbon emissions.
does my waste provider allow me to compact my trash?
It’s not their waste, it’s yours. Legal policies defend your rights to manage your trash while in your control at your place of business. This includes the right to compact your waste.
How long is each compaction service?
Average service time per dumpster is 5-10 minutes depending on the sort of waste and how filled the dumpster is.
Is there a commitment to a schedule or minimum amounts of compactions?
No. We are available for on-call service as frequent as you like but there is a financial benefit to getting on a scheduled service contract.
Which type of dumpsters do you service?
20, 30, and 40 yard tall open top dumpsters. We do not service “low-boy’s” filled with masonry/concrete materials.
Which type of waste do you compact?
Essentially everything excluding concrete and/or masonry. Industries such as Construction, Manufacturing, Logistics and any other business using a roll-off dumpster are seeing tremendous benefit from our services.
Are there restrictions to weight?
We avoid exceeding weight restrictions by not servicing dumpsters which consume large volumes of masonry/concrete materials. If concrete and/or masonry is no more than 5% of the capacity, weight is satisfactory. We display as much care for this as you.
Is this safe for the dumpster?
Yes. The reality is that forklifts or front-loaders have a greater probability of harming dumpsters than our patented truck (we have seen many construction sites using forklifts or front-loaders to try to do compact the contents in the bins and they are not very effective and can cause more damage). Our drum guards prevent the drum's steel spikes from damaging the container and our trucks have been precisely engineered to avoid dumpster harm from happening.
Our measures further implement additional levels of safety to shield against claims of dumpster damage. Our trucks are furnished with integrated onboard video camera systems which store footage of each service claims. During each compaction, our cameras continuously record to ensure that no damage has resulted to further shield your business, and ours, against damage claims from your waste company. Furthermore, in the improbable (and yet to have happened) incident of damage we directly cause, we assume liability.
